Beautiful Rare and Early Weller Louwelsa line American Art Pottery in production 1896-1924. This lovely 5.5” hand painted Jug signed by artist Eugene Roberts in a pattern of blackberries and raspberries, is in great condition with no chips or cracks. Crazing in slip glaze can be seen under eyepiece or magnification. This is commensurate with age. It is a beautiful piece. It has a cork piece in the top of it but I do not know it to be original. This is a rare pattern and this artists pieces have sold for much higher amounts. I have only found 2 pieces with this pattern or similar. Stamped Louwelsa Weller incised on bottom and the numbers 614 and a 5 as shown in pictures. This old American Art Pottery is a great investment and should continue to rise in value and appreciation.
