Ceramic Mushroom Soup Tureen HAND PAINTED Merry Mushroom Style Vintage

By the time I first found this cute tureen most of the red & green paint had already chipped off. So I rescued it, stripped it, and brought it back to its colorful self by hand-painting the original details back on, making sure to use permanent paint made especially for glazed ceramic.

This is only a display piece now; I’d advise against actually using it since it has a small crack on the outside (last photo). Aside from that it does have age appropriate wear, including minor chips around the edges (10th photo). There are also some small manufacturers defects that left bumps on the surface (9th photo) and a handful of scuffs and discolored areas.

This doesn’t really detract from the cuteness of the bright red mushrooms! You won’t find another tureen quite like this; the sideways handles are rare and you usually only see earth tones on vintage pieces.

Please note this is glazed ceramic; the only painted areas are the red caps, green leaves, and white dots.
