Mens Post 50's War CRAWFORD Mechanical Watch 17 jewel Set & Wind Swiss Made 33mm

This is a Swiss made mechanical set & wind from the post-war 50's under the name Crawford a US manufacturer that used exclusively Swiss movements. The movement by A.Schilds is model 1187/94 and features a high quality 17 jewel mechanical that has a stacked center plate to allow a long pinion for a sweep second hand. It features a shock protected balance. The case is 33mm a size common during the 40's and the 50's. The dial was originally lumed in Radium but has since been cleaned. The dial is in wonderful condition with a light patina on the enamel with crisp and sharp lettering as well as raised gold markers. The band is an expansion type from Germany and is period correct.
