This is a vintage black powder Spanish Signal cannon on wagon/carriage/artillery wheels. The cannon carriage is large, measuring 28 1/2 long total. The wheels are 11 1/2 diameter, and the cannon itself is 15 long total The diameter of the bore end of the barrel is 5/8 , The cannon is 11 1/2 tall total, and is 13 1/2 wide total.
The back of the barrel does not open up, and has small fuse holder, on the back top of the cannon. As the photos show, the cannon is in good used condition, and can be fired. Cannon is missing a few parts/ facets to hold cannon down to carriage and loading rods and accessories. Leveling/lifting rod works good. The wheels are movable. Barrel appears to be hardened steel, and parts of the barrel is worn and there are some superficial rusty areas, as the photos show.
Weighs sixteen pounds total. On the top is stamped 'Spain', and this is all the markings that were found anywhere on the cannon. Message with any questions!
