This strapless dress with a thigh high slit is by St. John Couture for size 2. The dress is new, the tag is still attached, and after a bit of research, I believe the dress retailed around 1200. It’s a Milano Knit, which is 53% wool and 47% rayon. The color is called Caviar, which is a very deep black. The dress is from the Resort Collection from 2012.
There are pleats on the side, with a little tie underneath. Under the tie is a 26 inch slit.
There is quite a bit of stretch in the waist and hips, but very little on the bodice.
