×The System for Cross-domain Identity Management (SCIM) is an open standard HTTP based protocol for automating the exchange of user identity information between identity domains, or IT systems. SCIM aims to simplify user provisioning and management in the cloud. For example, as an Identity Provider add, update, and delete the user, they are added, updated, and removed from the Drupal User Profile. To achieve this functionality IDPs provides the User Provisioner with SCIM standard.
If your users are using both IDP (eg. Azure AD, OKTA, OneLogin, etc) and Drupal website, it is preferred to have all users updated in the Drupal site without login each time to update the user list. miniOrange provides a solution that allows user provisioning into a Drupal website using SCIM standard.
It will create users using usernames and other attributes of IDP.
It will update the user fields, all attributes/fields except email and username.
Once delete a user from IDP, it would delete a user from the Drupal user list as well.
Once delete a user from IDP, it would deactivate a user from the Drupal user list.
You can configure the default role, which will be assigned to each user at the time of user creation in the Drupal site.
All provisioned attributes get synchronized with Drupal Profile.
Users can add custom fields in IDP and enable provisioning for those attributes.
Just install the module and you are good to go. No additional/external libraries required.
This module is compatible with Drupal 8 as well as Drupal 9. You don't need to install a new module for Drupal 9.
